Vouloir, C'est Pouvoir

As a child you always dream and think of the impossible, but then time comes along and you grow and grow older. And as you grow older, dreams are crushed and you are forced to dream less and live through the realities of life.
I've been there. I've been there. And I remember.
I remember at age 8 when I wanted to be a fashion designer. At 9 I wanted to be a teacher. I remember at 10 I wanted to be a doctor. At 16, I had a list longer than....well I don't know, but I do know it was pretty long. At 18, I realized I wanted to do everything. And I remember at 19, I told myself that I could do it all.

So as many dreams that have been crushed, I've dreamt even more. But not as an escape from reality, but to make my reality even better.

My dreams include things I want to do. I think about doing things all the time and I always find excuses as to why I can't start now. I did it with this blog until finally one day I just said you know what I'll just do it. Everything doesn't have to be perfect. Why? Because perfection doesn't really exists. There's always something we believe we can work on and do better. So why not just do it and work on getting better in the process. That's something I feel that not only I have to realize, but you too because if we don't we'll sit here wishing and hoping instead of putting our dreams into action.

Something I've basically learned in these 19 years of my life is that the idea or dream may be great, but it's the action that precedes it that makes it even greater.

So don't do anything that will make you feel regretful especially when it comes to taking a chance.

After all isn't it the things we don't do that haunt us the most?

So I welcome you into the inner workings of a mind as I navigate the path to accomplish my dreams- some known and others unknown. My stream of consciousness will flow through thoughts of music, fashion, beauty and more musings like this. And when I'm not spilling my thoughts here, you can find me on Tumblr and Twitter.
